Amenities

Waumpii Creek Ranch offers some wonderful amenities that we’d love to share with you!

  • Hiking Trails

Waumpii Creek Ranch offers a couple different hiking options. 1) Ranch Road is the main dirt trail that leads from the front of the Ranch all the way to the back property line. At a distance of approx. 2 miles round trip, this trail crosses the creek, weaves through cedar and mesquite trees, across plush grass fields, passes by an old windmill and small pond, and eventually brings you to the highest point on the property. Take a quick side trip to see some interesting features down at the creek. 2) Waumpii Creek Trail is a trail that has been cut through the thick trees and weaves back-and-forth along the creek. On this trail, you will hike in ravines, across several bridges, see a natural Spring, and come to one of the most unique features on the entire Ranch that we call The White Sands. Along the trail, you will also find benches, hammocks, and picnic tables. Feel free to pack a lunch to bring along or just stop and relax.

  • 9-hole Disc Golf Course

On 11/21/21, we completed a 9-hole Disc Golf Course on Waumpii Creek Ranch. The tee boxes and all sign posts were constructed from natural resources found right on the Ranch (cedar). While the course is not too difficult in terms of distance, there are many challenging obstacles, mainly cedar trees and mesquite trees that love to gobble up your discs. : ) To learn more about the Course, please visit Disc Golf Course Rules.

  • Farm animals

Check out the Ranch’s cattle, chickens, goats, and dogs. The cattle might follow you around for some disc golf, the chickens are proud to show off their eggs, the goats would LOVE to eat some Ritz Crackers from your hand, and the dogs enjoy chilling around the campfire with our Guests and joining our Guests on hikes.

  • Hammocks

We believe there can never be too many hammocks. Enjoy a hammock near the Tiny Home, in the Sheepwagon area, or you can even relax in a hammock at the Ranch’s old tractor shed/pole barn by lounging in some hammocks hanging between the barn’s poles.

  • Campfires

Weather permitting, one of the most peaceful things to do while on the Ranch is to sit around a campfire. We do provide some firewood and items to build a fire, but you might also want to bring some of your own firewood. Campfires are always subject to current burn ban restrictions/guidelines.
